As the holidays draw ever closer, you may be getting frustrated trying to find the perfect gift for a special friend or family member. Here is a suggestion you may have not considered, but that would certainly delight anyone – especially if they’ve been driving around with their car in less-than-perfect condition. As a collision center and auto body repair shop, we’re more than happy to help you gift car repairs to anyone.
What does this mean? If your buddy is driving around with their hood held down with a rachet strap, we can fix that. If your Mom sideswiped a pole in the parking lot and has been living with the fact the car’s all scratched up, we can fix that. If your kid’s car makes all kinds of distressing noises but they tell you ‘it’s fine’ we can fix that.
Our services come in two categories: mechanical and cosmetic repair. Most people do what they can to ensure their vehicle is mechanically safe, but when it comes to cosmetic repairs, if it’s not in the budget, it’s not happening. While this decision makes sense short term, over time it doesn’t bode well for the vehicle. Something very minor – let’s say a scratch in the paint – can create a vulnerability to water, road salt, and other environmental factors that cause the car to deteriorate far faster than it needs to. The inability to repair a small problem with a car often leads to larger, more expensive problems.
What about the costs of gifting car repair? Our process as a collision and auto body repair shop involves a thorough inspection and estimate process before any work is done. Because these repairs are obviously coming out of pocket rather than being billed to insurance, we know it’s important for you to have an accurate estimate of costs before the work begins. This inspection process will also determine if there’s any hidden issues that can be addressed now or at a later time.
A new car is the ultimate holiday gift – just check out all of the commercials with big red bows – but in real life, helping someone get several more years out of the car they have is a very thoughtful and meaningful gift.
